White Tank: J. Crew Factory, Skirt: Bar III (similar here, and on sale!), Sandals: Zara, Bracelets: J. Crew, David Yurman, Stella & Dot
I am determined to get the last wear out of all of my summer favorites before this Georgia heat lets up and the leaves begin to fall. This maxi skirt was one of my summer go to pieces when I couldn’t figure out what to wear. I found this skirt at Macy’s, and I immediately fell in love with it. I cannot get enough of the print, and I love how the sheer component with the two slits makes wearing a long skirt in the dead of summer more reasonable.
What are your summer staples you don’t want to give up this fall?
Dress: Gap Outlet (similar here), Utility Vest: Old J. Crew Factory, Bag: J. Crew (similar here), Wedges: Payless, Bracelets: J. Crew, David Yurman
I grabbed this lace dress on mega sale at the Gap Outlet. Can you believe it, the Gap Outlet? Me neither, I was equally as shocked. I remember all of my friends in college had the cutest pieces from there, but I had never had much luck shopping at their regular stores, let alone their outlets. I’m pretty sure this dress was calling my name from the sales rack.
I love finding pieces that can stand alone, while having the possibility of mixing and matching it into a completely different look. The plain white lace was a tad bit too girly for my taste that day, hence the utility vest and hot pink lips. This dress is so versatile, it can be dressed up or down, layered, and serve as a transition piece for fall. You all will definitely being seeing more of this little number.
Despite several attempts, I could not get a focused full length shot of this outfit, so some blurry shots will hopefully suffice!
I kind of love these pants for so many reasons. One, because they aren’t like anything in my closet; two, because they make me feel like I’m taking a walk on the wild side; and three, because they are super comfortable. Often as soon as I feel like I’m taking that walk on the wild side, I tend to ask myself “What in the world am I wearing?” But right now I love them, so that’s my story, and I’m sticking to it!
To tone down these full on leopard bottoms, I added this lovey eyelet top. I’m all about balance when it comes to my outfits, so this top is my solution to these printed pants. The girly aspect of this top makes these pants feel more reasonable for everyday wear. Needless to say I think I’ve met my leopard quota for the week, and its only Monday.
Blouse: J. Crew Factory, Jeans: F21 (similar here), Shoes: J. Crew (similar here)
My sweet Macie girl is making her blogging debut, curly tail and all. Unfortunately, miss diva was not feeling the paparazzi that day, but she makes for a pretty cute accessory if you ask me.
As far as this outfit goes, I am obsessing over this blouse. I normally tend to shy away from red, it just isn’t a color I normally gravitate to, but I am a sucker for silk blouses. A silk blouse that is sleeveless and has, not one, but two pockets is worth buying even if it is in red. I’ve also been on the look out for cheap distressed denim. I can’t believe I’m saying that, considering the last ripped jeans I owned made an appearance in high school. There might or might not have been a rather large rip on the back of one of the flared legs on that particular pair of jeans, I try to not think about it. Thankfully this Forever 21 find is a bit more tasteful, and I am loving these two pieces together. I think I’ll be recreating this look one gameday here in Athens, with more plausible shoes of course.
Disclaimer: I am will not be cheering for the enemy in this outfit, just socializing with them. GO CATS!
My best friend since kindergarten took these pictures for me
one day after lunch. Lets just say she’s not quite the blog reader that I am,
as in she’s never even read one. So after much pleading, she reluctantly gave
in and took these for me. After the first shutter of the camera she was bossing
me around like a professional photog. “Walk towards me.” “Scoot left, no
right.” “Tilt your chin down.” And now I’m pretty sure she is going to kill me for
I am jumping on the polka dot band wagon head first. I love the balance between
the ease of these shorts with the dressier peep toe leopard heels. Add a neon
polka dotted sweater, and that’s what I call a match made in heaven.

I have been over the moon,
and itching with anticipation about launching this blog! One of my biggest dilemmas
was what to wear in my first post. Tough decision, I know. As I hunted through
my closet all I could think about in the back of my mind was the lecture my
mother gave me when I was picking out outfits to wear in my senior cuts. “Don’t
wear anything too trendy, you don’t want to look back and ask yourself ‘What
was I thinking?’” I quickly forgot about any advice she gave me, and slapped on
printed shorts with a blouse in a trendy color. Something I’m sure to second
guess this time next year. I figured I would compromise by adding some nude
wedges. Classic enough, right?
