Happy Thursday y’all! After asking for post suggestions on Instagram Stories on Monday, I received several beauty routine posts suggestions. Ask & y’all shall receive. In this post I’ll be breaking down what products are currently in my makeup bag, a step by step guide to how I do my makeup & more.
First off, I have been on the hunt for a makeup bag that fits ALL of my products for travel. I used to carry all my brushes in one bag, my palettes in another & everything else in another one. It was just too much to keep up with when on the go. While I originally wanted a hard case option, after stumbling upon this carryall, I was sold! It has room for EVERYTHING I need, it’s affordable & I love the print. It also comes in a handful of other patterns if the one I have isn’t your thing.
Second, I’ll be the first to admit that I’m kind of an all or nothing kind of gal when it comes to makeup. I’ll either opt for my 15 step process (which doesn’t take long, I promise!) or only mascara. I’ve never found a happy medium, and that’s perfectly okay with me because I LOVE doing my makeup. It’s like my happy place. Just keep that in mind when I share my 15 steps. If a full face of makeup isn’t your thing or you don’t have a ton of time, you could absolutely cut down on the steps!

Happy Wednesday y’all! After an unintended blogging break, I’m back! I addressed this on my Instagram stories (if you’re not following me, get on that!), but as of late I’ve been struggling a bit. With blogging, inspiration, etc. You would think in the new year I would be the opposite, but that just hasn’t been the case. I am blaming the weather 😉 But after a successful brainstorming session, followed by a 15 degree weather shoot, I am getting excited about content to come! There’s beauty, lifestyle & outfit posts to come y’all.
But let’s chat about this outfit shall we?! I know I share a lot of outfits around here, and each one of them I love, have worn or would absolutely wear. With that being said, there are very few that get worn on multiple occasions, but this one is the exception! I have worn this combo over & over again this winter, and I don’t even care. It’s comfy, but pulled together, works for the weekend, running errands or a casual weekday! I also love each of these pieces individually, which I think is why this look has gotten so much love from me over the past few months.
Happy Thursday y’all! I am finally getting into the swing of things again after spending a night in Cincinnati with the in-laws. The Mr. & fam had a work conference so I of course tagged along for a night at the casino & a day of shopping after we won big at the blackjack tables! If y’all know me, then you know just how much a love a night at the casino. #guiltypleasure 😊 Plus the shopping there is SO good! I was so so excited when I found these earrings on sale– they’re only $30 right now! Cincinnati is just over an hour away from us, and for some reason we never make the trip up there. Definitely going to change that in the future!
But let’s chat transitioning your holiday pieces, shall we?! I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I buy pieces specifically for the holidays. Case in point:: this lace top & these fun statement earrings! Sadly I didn’t get a chance to wear them this holiday season, but that isn’t going to keep me from wearing them. My one tip to wear your holiday pieces after the fact is to dress them down with your wardrobe favorites. Case in point:: these jeans that I wear several times a week and this suede jacket (which was one of my favorite purchases of 2017). This outfit would be so fun for a date night or a girls night out!
How do you wear your holiday pieces after the fact?!
Happy Tuesday y’all! Monday is officially under our belt, and that’s always a win around here. I don’t know about y’all, but I feel like I am much more prepped and ready to tackle 2018 this week than I was last week! Blame it on the NYE shenanigans?! Who knows, but I’ll take it.
With these frigid temps we’ve been having, my winter coats have been getting a lot of love lately. I know that definitely sounds like something that would obviously happen in the winter, but KY is known to have some wild weather, like random 50 degree days in January. No such luck with the crazy weather, so you’ll definitely find me bundled up in my favorite coats. I do love a good trendy coat, but sometimes a classic option is the way to go. This grey number has been a favorite of mine for months now, and it’s on sale for only $100!
Happy Monday y’all! I hope everyone had such a good weekend! It was a pretty casual one over here. We kicked it off with a little happy hour & a laid back dinner at The Summit. If you follow me on Instagram Stories then you know I pretty much live there. So much so I was there 3 times on Friday 😜 But anyways! Saturday I made a little road trip to see my bestie, then celebrated a friends birthday that night. Our Sundays are typically reserved for being lazy & spending time at home, but yesterday I actually got a Sunday workout in (heck yes!), had brunch, did a little shopping AND saw Jumanji. Popcorn was obviously involved. And we loved the movie, I thought it was so cute! Have any of y’all seen it??
Let’s chat this look, shall we?! I went in thinking I was going to talk about this tee (which I am), but I first must mention that these booties are 60+% off! They’re under $80 & the perfect little bootie for everyday wear. The heel is the perfect height too, I can wear them all day and my feet don’t hurt!
But let’s circle back to this tee. I don’t know about y’all, but I am always looking for the perfect tee. It’s a must have in my wardrobe regardless of season, but depending on the season, I like different tees for different reasons. This might be totally extra, but whatever. During the colder months I like a tee that has a thicker material, and one with a little bit of stretch so it’s still really comfy. This time of year I also like tees that are on the longer side so it covers the tush when I wear it with leggings. This one is everything I ever wanted y’all. It perfect to layer under sweaters, cardigans, jackets, etc. And did I mention it is SO soft?! It lives up to the “Butter High/Lo Top” name for sure. It comes in 7 colors (sadly this pink stripe is sold out), and it under $50 too!
Happy Friday y’all! I hope everyone had an amazing week! Albeit a short one, I am ready to see the weekend. Maybe we’ll finally find a time to take down all of our Christmas decorations… Yep, we’re those people. Honestly I’ve just been in no rush, and I hate how bare the house feels once everything is down. Anyone else with me?! Plus we went a little overboard on decorations this year and it’s going to take foreverrrrr to get everything down & packed up. Wish us luck 😉
It has been a minute since I’ve shared an Instagram Roundup, since late summer to be exact! Better late than never, right? So that’s what we’re working with today, an Instagram roundup of my recent #ootds that I love so much!
Happy Thursday y’all! I have been dying to share this look with y’all since I shot it over a month ago– holiday content just got in the way! But better late than never, am I right?! This winter I have been loving bright colors more than ever. I love a good neutral, but I’m convinced a constant rotation of dark colors just makes me sad 😂 That’s where the brightly colored coat trend comes in handy.
Because this coat is so bold, I thought it be best to tone it down with neutral accessories & a pop of pink plaid! How would you style this pink coat?!
